How to Legit Check the Nike Off-White Presto OG

Updated: Apr 3

Legit Check Reference Guide For: Nike Off-White Presto OG

How to use these legit check posts:

· Compare the pair you want to legit check to the photos in the post. If you have in hand, great! If you are comparing photos, try and get similar angles from the seller.

· Focus on spacing, stitching, materials, placement, and shape. Details are very important to do your best to compare each little detail. Color shades can vary based on lighting of photos, so it may be difficult to compare solely off color.

· Remember that even authentic pairs have slight variations sometimes. Don’t automatically assume a pair may be fake due to the tiniest differences. There are some extremely well-made replicas though. Legit checking can be tough sometimes, but you will have to use your best judgement.

· Always buy from reputable sellers (like us 😊) and make sure you are protected (ex. PayPal invoice).

*This pair pictured was worn. It is a size 11 for size reference.

SIDE ANGLE ONE

Be sure to check the overall shape. The shoe should have a slight natural curve up with the midsole. Also, notice the height of the tongue in relevance with the rest of the shoe.

FRONT ANGLE

Check the toe cap heights of the shoe. Compare to make sure that the height of the toe area is not too high or low.

*There is a flaw on this pair pictured. A piece of the exposed foam was ripped off the corner of the tongue on the left shoe.

SIDE ANGLE TWO

Again, be sure to check the overall shape of the shoe. Be sure to compare the spacing and sizing of each part of the shoe to ensure everything is proportionally correct.

BACK ANGLE

The heel strap loop should be translucent. It should not be too opaque or transparent. The top heel should have the clear/foggy strip with the zig-zag stitching. Be sure to check that your pair does not have sloppy stitching compared to this photo.

OUTSOLE

The outsole should be pretty identical to this, as the molds will be the same. One thing to note is that the left and right shoe outsoles are NOT mirror images of each other. Look closely at the square sections and you'll see there are slight differences towards the inner panel of the shoe. This is how it should be! Think siblings but not identical twins.

CLOSE UP

The swoosh on the midsole will be fairly similar to the midsole material and identical in color. Many fakes have this mini swoosh made of plastic and will be glossy and a different color from the midsole.

SWOOSH & ORANGE TAB

This small detail can be very important. The orange tab should be slightly rounded on the corners. It should not have perfect 90 degree angle cuts. Notice the size of the tab as well. Compare size to make sure yours is not too long or short.

MIDSOLE SWOOSH

Here is a close-up of the mini swoosh on the midsole.

HEEL STRAP

Check the stitching! The end should be a quality black leather with the embossed swoosh. Compare stitching! This is an important detail! Also compare the font and size of the "AIR". One thing I've always noticed for the left shoe heel strap is that the right side of the rectangular box stitching goes right in between the first quotation marks before AIR.

INNER PANEL

The lettering on the inner panel should be faint. It should not be a solid white. It is best to compare side by side. Also compare the spacing between the main plastic cage and the small plastic "wing". The eyelets will have white rings, contrasting from the tan plastic cage.

TONGUE & STITCHING

Compare the placement of the tongue tag. Be sure that your pair has clean red stitching on the Nike logo. One common flaw in fakes is incorrect spacing between the top of the tongue the the double red stitching going across the tongue.

ORANGE TAB & SWOOSH

Swoosh material should not be to glossy and should have vertical textured lines. Compare the spacing of the stitching around the swoosh. Again, make sure the corners of the orange tab are slightly rounded.

HEEL STRAP

We take a look at the right shoe heel strap. Make sure to still compare the stitching, spacing, and placement. End tab should be black quality leather with the embossed swoosh. As far as the placement of the "AIR", notice for the right shoe, the 2nd set of quotation marks is right after the left side the rectangular stitched box.

INNER PANEL

Again, be sure to carefully compare the white lettering on the inner panel. It should not be too opaque or crisp. The plastic cage should be slightly translucent so that you can see the edge of the midsole behind it.

ZIP TIE

The zip-tie should look exactly like this. A common fake zip-tie will have a clear line to the right that separates a "glossy" and "matte" finish. The entire surface should be consistently glossy. Be sure to also compare the font text and size.

SIZE TAG

Here is a closeup of the size tag. Make sure to check fonts, spacing, and the edges of the tag. The production dates can differ based off the batch, so not all authentic pairs will have the same dates.

INSOLE

These insoles were a bit worn, so you can no longer see the insole design well.

UNDER INSOLE

Under the insoles should be blue. The glue marks run horizontal across the bottom of the insole.

LACES

Authentic pairs come with white, black, orange, and green laces. Of course this can differ with pre-owned pairs depending if owners lost or sold the laces. Just be wary of sellers selling DS pair with random other color laces.

BOX LABEL

Be sure to compare the box label. Compare fonts, sizing, placement, and material of the label.

BOX LETTERING

Compare the font, sizing, and placement.

INSIDE BOX

To be safe, compare every detail. Make sure the words are the same and everything. There is a lot of detail here. Fake factories tend not to put effort into the smaller details on the box like here

BOX PAPER

It is common for fakes to have the box paper have too dark of a green tint to it. There should be just a slight tint of green on some portions of the paper.

This concludes the legit check reference guide for the Nike Off-White Presto OG. Always be smart and protect yourself when dealing with expensive pairs! If your gut says fake, trust your instinct and walk away from any uncomfortable deals! Stay Hype!
